So we're here, bit overcast but still well within the 30's for temperature! Haven't had chance to take many photos yet but reckon we'll be heading for the Grand Palace this afternoon. Spend yesterday touring a few bars on the main khaosan backpacker street and rapidly turning down invitations to go and see someone called Pingpong (enough said). Just been to the travel agents and booked a bus up to Chiang Mai in the north, and a 3 day trek involving elephant riding, river rafting and jumping off some massive waterfall, and got a cracking price for it (apparently the travel agent (who insisted on being called 'Mr Cool' also thought a good selling point were the aussie and swedish girls booked on the same trek, can't think why!). So really this'll be the last chance to post something for a few days, hence why i'm on here on the 2nd day and not out exploring. We had tea last night for 60 baht between us (1 quid) and a good first sesh (that's a period of drinking mother, i'm sure the rest of you know) for about 14 quid between us. The 'Money belt' is the envy of every other backpacker (but honestly v useful). Hope everyone's doing alrite! Andy
