What's with all the green algae on Lake Titicaca? The floating islands where amazing.Maintainance must be high for them. Loved the wonderful photo's of the clouds but they did look some what threatening/ tornadoey!!! Hope not. Maybe you can enjoy a little luxury in Bolivia if things are that much cheaper? Hope your colds & wheezy's are getting better. Weather decidedly chilly at the moment. Love to you both.Mum W xx

Andrew!!! Shorts and boots my how proud Stephen will be of you!!!! The pictures are just fantastic, what a place to see.
Sorry you're both feeling under the weather, talking of which if it makes you feel any better at the moment it is raining cats and dogs!!! so much for our Bank Holiday Monday!!
Things here are rolling along fine, we've just started to ransack the kitchen, this is developing into a MUCH bigger job than first planned but all will be revealed later!!!
Nick is due to go in less than 3 weeks and in usual Nick style preparation is somewhat laid back!!!!
I believe Stephen is home tomorrow for a reading week (he's only just gone back!!). Chris , wait for it has a new interest in his love life, now this you will find incredible, he has met a young lady who lives in Sheffield, that we met whilst we were on holiday in France 3 years ago!!! I don't know how he does it!!!
Well the Pirates season is over, I went to see it on Friday, it was absolutely excellent, Alan made a fine pirate in the first half, but a very convincing policeman in the second half!!!
Grandma is doing well and is now off her crutches and just using sticks (bit like you - you raspberry ripple!!!!). We all had a bit of a scare last week, Thing has been living with Jo whilst Grandma was in hospital, and she had decided to keep him, much to Grandma's horror, even though she tells everyone he belongs to her!!! All was well until last Wed when Thing made a great escape under the gate having dug away the gravel!!!!!! Everyone was enlisted in the tortoise hunt but not knowing which way he had gone hindered things. Two days later just by chance Mum rang Jess Marsland (Scott's dad, who live round the corner from Jo) to ask him to keep an eye out for Thing and guess what - he had found him the day he went missing - how lucky is that!!!! THing is now back with Mum, Jo vowing she never wants him again, she can't deal with the stress!!! Poor Jo I think she really suffered!!!!! They are sticking to the two rabbits Daisy and Jasmine!!!!
Well its still raining, think i've just been voluntered to tidy up some of the kitchen mess, will natter soon, take good care of yourselves. Love to both of you xx x x x x x x

Vista's just seem to be getting even more amazing! I am gob smacked at the sheer size of Machupicchu. I never knew it stretched down the mountainside. I realised now that the tourist photo's you usually see are obviously only showing part of the the plateau. Your blog diaries are great. They give so much more meaing to the photos. It's a pity I can't print them off to read to grandma. Not to worry, I keep her informed. Are you managing to keep your written daily journal up to date. I hope so! It will be a tremendous aide memoire on your return. Colin is a very lucky frog being taken to so many unbelieveable places. I hope he apprecaites it? I'll pass on the hangover tip to Jean although she seems to have mastered this art and it is the rest of us who need it!Will e mail. Much love to you both.Mum W xx.

Speechless! What an experience! So who is Colin's friend and I hope they're behaving! Trust the Llamas didn't spit. I wouldn't have gotten that close to them Sophie. I presume they were llamas? Liked the "Capes in the cloud" photo of you both. Your loads looked bad enough but the porters loads .......!! I'm assuming that Andy's wet pants photo is sweat???? Grandma's birthday is Saturday 19th May not 14th. Love to you both. Mum W xxx

What a fab trip! I really pity those porters their rucsacks looked huge. Do they fill them with helium?
Glad you're both well and Andrew's ankle stood up to the walk. Who is it that's sat with the pigs? It should have been Nick.
Take care.
Love Dad G

Weather warm and sunny here. Had 2 BBQ's already! Can't wait for the next photos. You were obviously bowled over by the Inca Trail & Macchu Picchu. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Is the lobster really dead?! We are going to cry!! Please give him a good burial and keep him away from the dog! You could use rocks over the grave so the dog doesn`t dig him up!
Aside from that heart-wrentching news, we are going on the Inca Trail tomorrow for 5 days - we will be back in the world of communication technology on wednesday - so don`t worry if we don`t get in contact! We have also spent quite alot of money today on neccessary supplies (namely two walking sticks for Andrew and his crippled ankle! (sophie bought a much needed shrug top from the Topytop - the local store aka Topshop Old habits die hard!!)) so we apologise now if the banks get in touch!
Anyway, we are off to try and pack our bags - we are not hiring porters so we´re just taking spare knickers and a toothbrush, or in Andy`s case, just the toothbrush! (poooo)
