The next day was the day we left Madrid but since our train wasn't till 7pm we got to leave our bags in the hostel and do some more exploring :). We went to a museum of art but it was rubbish as it was all modern art and seemed pointless in most cases. So we went back to the park and sat and had lunch then went to see the crystal palace in the other half of the park. After that we had an epically long walk to find the main big cathedral. But we did get ice creams along the hig epic walk which made it way more acceptable!!!!! :P but only minorly so :P was so tiring and I got a bit sunburnt as a result of the 30 degree sun :/ it was worth it though! It was really pretty and it looked like there was a palace next to it woo! had to head back to get our bags and get on the train.
It was crazy! the ticket guy only spoke spanish so all English and French speakers were b*****ed when it came to him talking to anybody. Didn't phase him though he continued speaking Spanish only. I was on my own for a lot of the journey unlike Andrew who had two wonderful roommates that didn't speak English :P I did get 3 Chinese girls that thankfully spoke english. They had come from New York where they had all studied accounting. they were nice and chatted for ages about comparing America and Scotland and where we all want to go in the world before going to sleep in really comfy beds. :) my Spanish people were cool enough if I spoke Spanish but I managed basic picture communication like "points to me and says Andrew points to one of them and look quetioningly :P " it worked I got some sorta chat going :P and none of them snored :P
