We had a nice late checkout from Barcelona it was 1200 which meant we got a lie in :D yay :D didn't wake Sophie up till 11 as she was out the night before, got my breakfast and rooibos tea and was content :P nothing else tho screw paying a fiver for conflates :/ once we got ourselves together and said bye to our peeps we headed off to the subway to estacio de somthing. Booked our train to Madrid and got one for 2 o'clock which was nice as we only had 15 mins till 2 so bolted with our rucksacks in through security and down to the train and damn it was nice!! I'll post the photos up when there's reasonable wifi as uploading happens one at a time :O so high speed trains totally rule!!!!! They are so cool they go at 298 km/h which was nuts! And it had a cool bar with lots to choose from kinda expensive but as neither of us had brekkie we made the sacrifice. I had a groovy pizza Sophie had a crap baguette a " would you like some baguette with your salt" effort cause it wasn't ham it was Parma ham with like nothing else so it was just salty. Then we chilled out from the rest of the train ride which cost 27€ for us both which was saweeeeet! Yeh so I was pretty childish about how awesome the train was solid just laughed at me :P got into Madrid on time at like half 5, and set about finding the hostel via the subway network which was easy cause now we're masters of subways :D well ones with like 10lines :P then we had to googlemap to find the hostel which we walked past first then were like "where is it?!?!?!" then turned round and saw it lmao

The room wasn't bad it had a/c which was necessary! Oh but the weather in Madrid was v.nice no humidity at all just hot, which we both decided we could live with! And I met a Brazilian guy who spoke to me in an American acent and when I told him I was from Scotland he put on this nuts english accent turns out he was going to see westham play on Saturday lmao :D but man he snored like a loud thing! It was insane! But more on that later

Me and Sophie went out for a walk to see what the surroundings were like, loads for cafe's, bars and restaurants so we figured go wild and have dinner out. I had lamb and Sophie had chicken which was really good but seemed like it was cooked it like 5 minutes no complaints tho! Only thing was we got a roll each on the table, had to ask for a plate for it, then had to ask for butter! Seemed like they wanted us to suffer, but we didn't was awesome :D then I realised we had a Major financial crisis. So we sorted that out and shortened the trip a little then went to sleep. I had a new room mate from San fransisco( not the same guy btw) so I chatted to him about politics and education and other odd things till like 1 then he had to get up for a flight.

Now I say sleep cause she sleptish but I slept till 2/3 when the Brazilian came back and he shores the place apart! I made like an audio log of the night so anyone that wants to here can ask me :P it was unpleasent! And between the brazilian's snore the damn American started snoring! AhaheyxnandjzjBsbzja!!!!!!!!! It was a symphony of nasal,snorting, hacking and coughing! Sseriously it absolutely sucked!

I believe Sophie's room was right beside the communal bathroom for our floor, even tho 6 man and up dorms seemed to have their own rooms -Sophie was in a 6 chick dorm. So anyone that went for a shower before they slept Sophie as well as flushing and the Walls were thin so she heard her neighbours bathroom going as well so her night didn't go much better. But she did meet a croatian girl who was there for 4 nights and an Argentinian girl who was only there for 1night, she only stayed so she could catch her plane back home. The Croatian girl was really nice, she was studying psychology back in Zagreb and was touring Spain for about 6 weeks with her friend Luca (such a cool name).
