Woke up and man it was it ultra sticky! Not nice! Air con helped a bit but when it's 10 ppl and it's already humid it was fighting a loosing battle lol. Got my rooibos tea and some cornflakes for brekkie :D Sophie was too slow so she got nothing :D while I was eating a met this cool guy called Justin he was from San fransisco, and a polish pair called Greg and mystery girl, I was told her name but have no idea what it was now , and thy hitch hiked from Poland! Was like wow! They is no way I'd hitch hike way to crazy to get picked up I reckon :D then we all decided to get together and explore barcalona. So while the polish couple put their stuff in the luggage room we all got water etc and met em at reception. The polish guy was like a freaking Tom Tom he new where everything was! Granted he had a map but some of the streets where tiny and he still knew where we were! So we saw a cathedral or two, walked down la rambla which is like Buchanan street but at nights it's insane with drunk people and it's pick pocket crazy! So most of time Sophie had all our valuables in her purse as I only had one zippy pocket cause the other zip broke :( we had lunch at the cheapest tapas bar we could find which was 5€ for 5 tapas and a drink which was rocking! Couldn't remember having tapas before so that a sweet experience :D and Justin and Greg both spoke Spanish which helped intensely throughout cause me and Sophie don't really speak any Spanish! After that we walked around for a little bit more and decided to go for a swim cause we were so sweaty from the damn humidity, we were pretty much sweaty as soon as we got out of the hostel :/ we all toddler back to the hostel via the subway which was like twice as warm as the outside Ayr so it was horrid in there! Cars where air conditioned tho so the riding of the subway wasn't to bad just waiting for car was. So once we all got back to the hostel we arranged a place to meet up on the beach eventually :P cause man did it take a while to our point across :P even tho she did speak English! Fair enough it was justin trying to speak on our behalf so that's probably why it took so long :P but the polish folks new hostel was miles away so we weren't sure how long it would take them to dump their stuff and meet us. So we headed our separate ways thinking they'd find us at that bar at the beach, but it was hard enough to find the damn beach, all we could see was port then we walk down a side street and bam beach and tonnes of people as far as the eye can see :D walked up and down the beach tho trying to find this crazy bar and when we found it, and it was tiny so give us credit, we put our stuff outside it and me and justin went in for a swim in the sea while Sophie chilled in her bikini tanning, or trying to lol, water was really nice and we swam out far enough to find a big man made break water and clambered onto it and I cleverly managed to cut my elbow and toe as the bottom just kinda appeared all of a sudden which Justin managed to miss :/ stupid mermaid and some Spanish helped us onto the break water woot :D and their was a big sign that said walking allowed, fishing allowed and swimming allowed near the break water which was nice of them :D then we got closer and realised that some ppl had just rubbed off the big lines through each of em :P oh well too late by then :P we got back on the beach and chilled for like an hour and a half then Justin decided he wanted coffee so we all went in search of a bar that did coffee's which took all of 2 seconds and cause me and Sophie had ran outta cash and needed an ATM he bought Sophie and expresso but I passed on the offer, no rooibos tea :P after all that we were decided what to have for dinner and we decided on a take out kebab :D we got some cash and went on the hunt and finally got the kebabs and chips although it was odd as "take out" meant a paper plate wrapped in tin foil :D we ate our wired take out next to the harbour and went home to the hostel where Justin promptly decided to go for a late night walk and the Asian pair we met the night before were going clubbing but I declined and proceeded to read in the dorm by the cool red light of my head lamp :D apparently Sophie didn't enjoy herself as the bit asian guy from San fransisco had one beer and was pretty wasted :P which I believe put a dampened on the evening but s*** happens and asians can't handle booze :D long post but we did lots :D LLAP team
