We are now in Kuta, Bali. We arrived late last Saturday(17/2/07) and just headed straight to our hotel. We booked the hotel online for about 12 pounds a night and it was pretty nice. So nice infact Peter and I said it was the sort of hotel our parents would take us to. Once again we have not been up to much just embracing Island life again by sleeping, sunbathing and drinking. Bali is just as cheap as Thailand which is good for our budget!!. I was suppose to learn to surf this week but I have been catching up on some overdue sleep so the surfing will have to wait until the weekend. The town we are in is were the 2 nightclub bombs went off in 2002. Just like in Phi Phi with the Tsunami it is weird being in a place that has suffered such a terrible tragedy. We changed hotels after 5 nights and moved to a cheaper one right on the main strip. The main fault with Pete and I at the minute is we are not staying in budget places where you meet other backpackers. We are staying in cheapish hotels and the only people staying there are Chinese families. We are going to an Island called Lombok on Monday for about 5 nights. It is a 5 hour ferry journey East of Bali and its suppose to be gorgeous. I will update the Journal next week when hopefully we have done something!!!
