We arrived into Singapore on the Thursday(15/2/07). We found a place to stay in Chinatown. KL and Singapore are starting to get really busy in the build up to Chinese new year on the 18th. We met a guy Pete knows through his work called Stephen Poag and he told us what places to go to and what to do and not do in Singapore. Singapore is so expensive its insane. A pint costs us nearly a fiver. We did not stay out that long as it was just far to expensive. On the Fri we went to Singapore zoo and I took a lot of photos of animals but again not that many of us!. The zoo claims to be the best in the world and after walking around it I don't think you can really argue. It is absolutely amazing. We got stuck at the zoo for a while as the heavens opened and everyone rushed out for a taxi. We ended up getting a bus and the metro back to Chinatown which was pretty straightforward. At night we went along to Raffles and had 2 Singapore slings. Probably the most expensive drinks we will ever buy in our lives but worth it. Singapore is definitely a place to spend a couple of days in any longer and you will be bankrupt. We are now at the airport waiting for our flight to Bali.
