The golden temple was sick!! too bad we couldn't go inside!!
Around the temple sites there were wishing wells where you throw money towards it. There were candles to light and you place it into something simliar to an alter. Each candle had something written on it, such as good luck, health, etc. I burnt one for everyone back home to be safe and avoid traffic accident.
For dinner we went to a street similar to hardware lane. However this was so much more beautiful and street alot longer.
Restaurant food was epic, we had a banquet with sake. Yum yum
Time for bar hopping. After about 3 bars we found a new place called home. The bar was small and could fit about 10 people. It was empty when we got in, the owners name was Eiba.
Drank and became friends, went back to the kyokan because they had a 12am curfew. Got back at 11:58 and it was locked!!!!
Back to the bar we went (I was completely smashed and ready for bed)
On the way we stopped to eat some ramen with half my eyes closed.
Got back to the bar and drank till 5ish and caught a cab back to the station near our hotel and slept for an hr. (well I did anyway).
Time for our noob of the day
Winner: Adrian + All of us for missing the curfew.
Our first time catching the bus was hilarious. Unlike back home where we bought tickets before or on the bus, here you pay a flat rate at the end of the trip. We all put money in the machine next to the bus driver on the way out. Next to it there's another machine which gives change to notes and bigger coins. Instead of getting change Adrian chucked a 500 yen coin into the main machine and stood there for a good minute waiting for change. The bus driver had to keep pressing the refund button or something.
