Hi Everyone

Right now I am in rainbow Beach and there is much to do here. Its a very small town with only 1000 ppl living here. So we are pretty much just limited to out hostel with things to do so thought would update you on whats been happening so far on my travels.

Last weekend I spent three nights in Brisbane. After updating the site I had a great evening chatting with 4 other girls in my dorm. We were all travelling alone so was lovely to share advice and have a proper girly chat!!!! hehe. The saturday I walked around the centre of town then over the bridge to south bank where there is a manmade beach. It actually looks impressive but weird to see a beach with skyscrapers in the background. there was also a lovely lifestyle market so had a lovely walk looking at the australian crafts and local clothing, very interesting actually. Later Antony got back from being with his cousins and they invited both of us back to theirs for a bbq and then drinks which was lovely. Really friendly and welcoming people, its was nice to be away from the backpacker crowd for a while. His cousins and his friends took is out in fortitude valley which is where the main bars and clubs are. We had to be up early though the next morning to catch the bus up to noosa.

On the journey up to Noosa we stopped off at a lookout point at the glass house mountains which was beautiful. Our Guide gave us some very weird and interesting stories about the aboriginals!!! We arrived in Noosa at lunch time, and checked into out hostel called Koalas. Very nice actually, similar to the place in Byron Bay. Noosa was wonderful, a beautiful place, very much like Byron bay but alot more upmarket and expensive as full of pretty boutiques. That afternoon we just spent on the beach then had a few queit drinks at the hostel bar which is really friendly as we met some great people. It was karaoke night actually and that was hilarious!!! I did not sing, as you all know im not very good to say the least.

Monday was a beautiful day so Antony and I went down to the Noosa national park, Its right at the corner of the coast so had fabulous views!!! however we did manage to find the only nudist beach in noosa, we didnt know till we got there so was a little disturbing, hehe! the walk through the national park was very beautiful but hard work with the sun so hot!!! certainly gave me a workout for the day anyway. After the walk we felt we earned a deserved break to lie on the beach for the rest of the day. Jade arrived on Monday so was nice to see her again. We spent the eve meeting new people again at the hostel bar, great fun!!!

Tuesday the weather was not so great, had a complete down pour but australia needs it at the mo. Jade, Antony, and I went to Australia Zoo today! Its absolutely fantastic, a really passionate place, not commercial at all as some zoos can be. There was large memorial for Steve Irwin, very sad to see but nice to read so many lovely kind messages about what a wonderful man he was. I cuddled a Koala bear, they are great, so soft and cuddly!!! Her name was mash as her dad was called bangers, its great!!!! Really was a great day out! would recommend it to anyone going that way!!!!

Today I had to get the bus at 12 so i just spent some time on the internet. when we got to rainbow beach out driver gave us an introductory talk on didgeredoos and boomerangs and we all got to have a go one them. It was really funny!!!!

Well I think thats all to update you on for now. Im going to Hervey Bay tomorrow and leave for my Fraser Island tour on Friday so i will not have access to a computer so will only be able to update next week sometime but keep the messages coming as i want to know you are all well please!!!

I spoke to Rodney today (my uncles best friend from SA, very close friend of the family), he lives in melbourne and Ive decided to change my flights and go stay with him for a week before going to New Zealand!!! Very excited!!! Cheers JP for giving me his number!
