Heyy all! Just a quick hello to say im still alive!

Had the best few days, Thursday night we went to a house warming- there is nothing like sitting outside on a Thai floor drinking beer in a circle with guitars and singing.. def my best night here yet! Friday (rather hungover) myself and Clare went to Ao Nang... beautiful beach (my tan is loking quite hot) had a macdonalds!!!! woo!!! then went shopping for essentials in Krabi

Yesterday and last night were just amazing. We went to a tiny village and all stayed with out very own Thai family, such a culture shock to our houses back home, even coming back to base felt like a luxury (and we dont even get hot water here!) We also went to what only I can describe as a mud beach.. maybe the Thai version of a mud spa... even our Thai familys looked at us like we were odd as we caked ourselves in mud and threw it at each other. On the night before going to our Thai parents house they cooked a meal and gave us a mini concert of their village band... Cariboo I think it was called! Very entertaining! Then today we went and helped the monks in the village generally clean the temple, said our goodbyes to our Thai familys and then came back to base. (Ever since Iv been trying to lesson plan for tomorrow, its just not happening!)

Tonight (its almost 8 o clock at night here) we are going to have a group evening on base and play some games aparently, no idea what that means. Maybe also have a beer or two (I still cant stand beer but its the only thing here!) Iv also heard talks of going to pancake man! Yeyyyy, pancakes with bannana and chocolate sauce are all the craze here.. yummmmmmm!!!

Anyway must dash... I have loads of awesome pics from this weekend so I will put them on either Monday or probaly Tuesday as I have so much lesson planning and an assignment due in for tomorrow (for my teaching in a foreign language qualification) plus I also have a thai massage to have so you know, first things first! xxxxx
