sa wa di ka!!!
Hey everyone thought I better do my first proper blog as I dont get much time to email everybody back! Having such a good time here!
So I taught my first lesson last night.. 30 mins on my own in front of a class of non English speakers... wow it was scary! Teaching with minimal resources is very hard! But my trainer said I did good... and I thought I did good... yey!!!!! Teaching is actually something I love.... Im actually supposed to be lesson planning now for a forty five minute lesson tomorrow but il do it next......! Next week I get to do 90 minute lessons all by myself as well! go me!
So im living with the most random mix of people, from an american activist to a 50 year old oz! It seems to work well.... no arguments to report as yet... although there have been some tears! Iv done well because no tears from me!
This weekend looks like its going to be very good... on Friday me and another girl are going to Ao Nang for a day on the beach as unlike the rest of our group, our first aid training is up to date..! woo! Iv also feveloped quite a few freckles and the tan is coming along! On Saturday we are going to a village and staying with a Thai family and following their culture for a day which will be intresting! Oh and on Thursday we are going to a social gathering.. two of the expedition members from the last one have decided to stay and carry on teaching so they have a house near to here and have just moved in, a girl and a guy about my age from the midlands, England... think the girl is from oz??!!? So they are having a house warming! Which will be really good to have an evening away from base. Even though my group is on breakfast on Friday morning... O yesterday I cooked and everyone is still alive... woooo!!! In a week or so im also going snorkeling on a boat in the middle of Thai seas.. looking forward to this one as apparently its one of the best places in the world!
The best thing about here is I feel so chilled out.. like last night, chilling on the bamboo seating area with a few of the girls drinking a few beers (yes im made to drink beer, vile!) We listened to some chilled out tunes and it was really nice.. felt like a rebel by staying up till 12.15am! even though im getting pressure from teaching, the students are so willing to learn!
Anyway I thought this was easier than a mass email.
Missing you few special people that I gave the address of this site to. I do feel really homesick at times, like now while im writing this but il see you all soon, and hopefully things wont be the same once im home.
See you in ten weeks (you may have to drag me back to England again)

P.s... I can now also make a small conversation in Thai and count to 10, 000... yes it is extremely difficult learning Thai !
