Elephant day had arrived...very excited to go and feed and bathe elephants but also see the work they do at the nature park. After hearing good things fron a few of the guys in Africa, we went with high hopes. We had to watch a video on the way up and wasnt looking forward to it to say the least. All about elephant cruelty it wasnt nice. When we arrived we had a briefing and then off to the elephants! Every elephant has there own bucket for food so you shouldnt feed them out of another...which one couple didnt seem to understand. The amount they eat is crazy and there so lous? There skin is very weird to touch its quite rough. It was pretty unbelieveable being stood there feeding one of these giant animals! We got to have a stroll round and went over to the medicine hut. Where there was an 80 year old elephant. Made mw think of my grandma who turns 80 soon....so i had a pic with the ellie. Break time for lunch...which was really tasty! Then off out to bathe them. Buckets at the ready. Hard because there so tall! Moment where it gets a bit scary and we dash out the water as in comes crashing the naughty male!! Food time again and we know its nearing on time to go...yet another surreal experience! To top of the day we arrive ba k and harry potter is on the telly. Cracking ending to a perfect day. Dash out for food which is shamefully mcdonald and starbucks to arrive back to the credits rolling!... Kindle to the rescue...
