Koh Tao was a whirlwind that seemed to drag on lol We got there in time to check in and have dinner.
The town is all about diving so we joined in Starting the day after we got there was 4 days consisting of 4 videos and quizzes, a final exam, time in the pool and 4 dives at a maximum 18 meters. It was a lot of fun, I love being under the water We saw tons of fish, an eel, some moray, acres of coral, nemos and a turtle I am open water certified now and will be looking for some places to go in Indonesia for sure!
Crappy part was I was really sick the whole time. I had to leave the classroom a couple times to be ill. Fortunately it was Jason, Scott and one other really nice girl so everyone was understanding and the teacher took mini breaks so I didn't miss anything. I couldn't eat for three days which didn't help with the motion sickness on the boat...I was scared of being sick under the water! Crazy though, I felt better under the water than anywhere else. Every day after class I would crawl into bed and stay there until the next one. Not to worry, I feel better now and my appetite has been fully restored!!
It was sad to leave Koh Tao, the people were nice and the staff for diving at the Seashell Resort were amazing. With an hour ride on the fastest ferry yet we left for Koh Phangan. The whole ride over they played clips of Just for Laughs lol
