To get to Railay you take a ferry, but Thai style The ferry stops so some long boats can come along side for people to jump into; it takes you almost to shore where you wade the rest of the way in with your pack on your back. So funny :)
Railay was a beautiful beach. We spent two nights there. Yesterday I followed the guys into a cave where their headlamps came in handy and we tested some bamboo ladders. It was dodgy and dirty but fun and the view at a mouth of the cave way up was worth it. It was cool in the cave but standing near the entrance you just sweat and sweat not even realizing how hot you are; comparable only to Bikrams and Sabrina, you know how much I like Bikrams!!
There are sooo many cats in Thailand. The people seem indifferent to them and I can't tell if any of them have an 'owner'. With all the cats I was surprised at the amount of snails (I crushed two walking in the dim light last night) and frogs (one of which hopped across both my feet last night too). There are geckos but I didn't see any in our room, and I'm ok with that as there were no mosquitoes I needed them to eat :)
Today we arrived in Kho Tao after 8ish hours of taxi, bus and two ferry's. Time for dinner!! :)
