Hello again everyone!
So we have now been in Australia for nearly 5 weeks. We now own a car, and are living in a house in a suburb called Nollamara. How Australian sounding!
We are still in holiday mode, and starting to know our way around a bit more. Everyone here is so laid back and relaxed, it's catching! Funnily enough, on the roads, the Australians are far from relaxed. Talk about road rage!! Bizarre.
Anyway, in the last couple of weeks we have: hired bikes and riden up the Swan River, been to the beach, visited Caversham Wildlife Park where we got to stroke koalas and wombats and feed kangaroos, been to the beach, and watched the sunset over Trigg Beach (we like the beach!).
We have also visited Jon's relatives Jeff anf Julie in the wonderfully named suburb Secret Harbour, about an hour from Perth City. They live in a huge house overlooking the golf course. Paradise.
We had the car ('Percy') servced on Friday for peace of mind (it is fine considering it is 16 years old!) and took the opportunity to visit the cinema in Innaloo (a strangely named suburb!). We saw the Hurt Locker and would recommend it if anyone is interested.
So that is a round up of the latest news, please take a look at our second photo album!
Speak to you all soon, Jon & Amy.
