So tomorrow we are going to the Amazon for 4 days! Really excited! We are going with a great group of 6 people. Should be wicked. We have to leave the hostel at 7am and get a flight, on what we think will be a rickty old plane, from Quito airport into the jungle, then we have a canoe trip for 2 hours down the river to our lodge. It was a choice of a 30minute flight for 60 dollars more or an 8 hr bus journey on un-made tracks up, down and around mountains. Come on...

Hey everyone, So I got absolutely smashed last night!! Not feeling all that great at the moment, although thankfully have the sun to cheer me up. Yesterday we went to the equator line, true tourists I know, but has to be done! Was pretty cool standing one foot in the northen hemisphere and one foot in the southern (I know i'm a loser!) In Quito now. Worst journey ever! Plane delayed in Caracas by 6 hrs and no1 spoke English! Had a good night last night, drinking and eating!! Just about to go and see the equator line with some ppl we met. Only very short and sweet entry. Hope all well. Amy x
