As I embark on my next great adventure, I can't help but be overwhelmed. No amount of meticulate preparedness sustains the entiretly of feeling melancholy, excitement, disquiet, and anticipation simultaneously.
For the next year, London will provide the backdrop for my scholarship, exploration, and living. While it is heart-wrenchingly difficult to leave such strong roots in both places and the people that I love, I know that while I am there and when I return, those roots are perenial, keeping me grounded in what is truely important. This opportunity is the chance of a lifetime which I intend to enthusiastically embrace and learn from as much as possible.
"I am neither a theologian, nor chemist, nor naturalist, not philosopher; therefore, I confine myself to saying that I do not know: and since I do not know I am going to see" -Michael Arden, Verne's From the Earth to the Moon
Though there is no way to know with ceratinty what the next year has in store, I await to discover every opportunity and see for myself where the experience takes me.
