8. If you're a good multitasker, prepare your toppings while you wait for the crepes to set on each side.
*Toppings:
Nutella
Yogurt
Jam
Honey
Sliced mixed fruit
Cinnamon
Chocolate powder
Condensed milk
Cooked fruit (like apples) in sugar
Peanut butter
If you don't have a sweet truth, savory toppings work well too. The next day we had some with cheese and salami and they were delicious. Even alone they taste good.
And just how you eat them is up to you. Some people roll, some people fold, some use forks and knives, others use their hands.
Our second attempt we used a prepackaged gluten free flour mix for baking that had soy, corn, and flour. Surprisingly, these did not turn out as well. They had a hard time holding together as a thin crepe form and we had a more difficult time flipping them without ripping them. We persevered and they still tasted delicious.
And you know a recipe has won the taste test if they have a hard time noticing the difference between gluten and non gluten. He could barely taste a difference with both batches.
Winning.
