7 hrs of travel left including a 3 hr wait here. The QANTAS lady said I would need to collect my bags at chile and transfer them to another counter... But the Chilean staff said they should be all checked through. It is a $95 US fee to go through immigration and check that my bags aren't in fact on an endless conveyor belt circuit...so I'm going to go with the Chileans and presume my bag will find me at Lima. I wish my bag would also be able to scoop me up and ta...

There seem to be no Aussies on this plane! Everyone sounds like Antonio Benderas (sp?)... Which is making me more nervous as I can't understand anything they are saying and I was studying my Spanish hard all week! Ok.. There is an Aussie sounding older lady behind me who keeps telling her friend that this flight is going to San Diego... Not Santiago. Hope for their sake they are getting out at Auckland!!
