Today Michael and Mary were taking me out to Stonehenge, which was about an hour or so drive from Chippenham. Up early we set of and drove through many villages to get to Stonehenge. Upon arriving there I was amazed at how small Stonehenge was. The initial impact of the place was a bit of a let down, but I was glad that I had finally got here to see it.
It was very windy whilst we were here and I had to put my scarf around my ears as the wind was making them hurt. We got our tickets and went through the tunnel and then walked around Stonehenge. The walk around Stonehenge was quite a fair distance back so you couldn't go up to the stones, but you can do an after hours tour with a guide who takes you right up to the stones.
After a wonder around we went back to the information centre and bought a coffee and tried the rock cakes, before heading back to Michael and Mary's so I could pack my bags, as I was heading back to Cardiff. I arrived back into Cardiff in the late arvo and waited for Lindsay and Steve to get home. The next day Lindsay and Steve were taking me up to Rochdale to see Lindsay's parents.
