After a rough nights sleep we woke up in the morning, somewhere in Russia, to find that our train was all alone on the tracks. We were able to leave the train and wonder around as we were going to be here for most of the day as we were waiting for another train to take us the rest of the way to Irkutsk. We spent the day wondering around the town, re-stocking up on beer and food, chatting, playing cards and chilling out. It was a very relaxed day. At about 4.30...

Today was our last day in Ulaanbaatar as we were catching a train to Irkutsk. We met our local guide Nemo who was taking us on a city tour today. We went to the Gandontegchenling Monastery, to look at the temples, plus we got to hear some of the monks chanting. After this we went to The Bogd Khaan Palace Museum, which was the winter Palace. Today we were heading back into Ulaanbaatar for the night before catching a train to Russia. After breakfast in the dinning Ger we packed up our gear and headed off. Again it was freezing and the heater wasn't working to well in the mini van, so we froze again on the way back to the hotel. When we arrived into Ulaanbaatar we went and got some lunch then wondered around Ulaanbaatar and did a bit of shopping. We went to shop, which supports widowed women in Mongo...

Today we were off to Mongolia, which almost didn't happen for me as my trip leader had a few problems when picking up my passport from the Mongolian Embassy, but thankfully all ended well and I was able to leave with the rest of the group.
