Well what can we say? We have just been so busy the past couple of days i mean going to a beach house...sitting on the beach...seeing wild kangaroos and koalas has been all too exciting! We have had our very own tour guide round the famous great ocean road, but the highlight of our trip was the even more famous (for us) lighthouse that was used in the TV series 'Round the Twist' (singing...'have you ever, ever felt like this..when strange things happen..are you going round the twist?!'..) haha, it really was spectacular. So the beach house weekend was full of beach fun and of course included the odd drink..or two...we explored the local nightlife..which consisted of a live local band in what seemed like the village hall and us 4 idiots dancing the night away to classic tunes (and the odd random aussie song..helly and alice felt a bit out of place) So all in all the weekend was pretty heavy going!

Since then we have created a strict scheduel of activities and touristy things..which has included helly and ally buying holiday hats matching ugg boots and other unnessecary items, but all in name of looking good! Tomorrow we are hopefully going to the grand prix (hannahs boyfriend has 2 tickets...free..for us!) but we have been told its going to be about 40 degrees! Bring on the holiday hats! So we are now preparing for a big weekend...hellys birthday! So yes, we shall be bar hoping and exploring the city. Last night was pretty adventurous as we met up with Emma (hellys old family friend from home) for a cheap dinner ($6 pasta!) so of course we had a little extra money for some drinks :) We went out in Brunswick street where there are some awesome little bars and fellow travellers. You will all also be pleased to know that we have been organised for once and booked our first 5 nights accomadation in Sydney as well as our bus to get there, so we will be out of the Kents way soon enough! We leave melbourne on the 19th.

Ok, really must dash now..as its about 38 degrees and we are really needing a nice cold dip in their pool. Such a hard life.
