Walked into the city centre this morning to get my first ever greyhound bus of many.
Was straightforward enough and they even played a movie even though I slept through most of that. Arrived in mission beach and was picked up by their bus driver, Matt who's from Devon. About a 5min drive from the bus station is south mission beach where I was staying and it looked like a really nice little place.
In my room, I met a girl from London called Lucy who was doing a round the world trip as well but has travelled the other way along the east coast. We immeadiately got on really well and she was telling me how much she loves it at that hostel and at mission beach. She had even got herself a job at zenbar, which was a local restaurant owned by the same people who ran the hostel.
I spent the rest of the afternoon chilling out chatting to Lucy and then when she went to work I started talking to a guy from Scotland called Wayne, and we went to zenbar for something to eat as they had an offer on and I'd bought no food.
After we'd eaten, we went back to the hostel and got chatting to a girl called Tammy from Canada. We ended up staying up really late just talking about nothing and everything and made plans to go to the beach tomorrow.
The next day me and Tammy just chilled out on the beach all day, and then at night we went to zenbar with Lucy and Matt as well.
There was a bonfire going on at the beach so we waited for Fran, another English girl from the hostel to finish work at the zenbar and Heather who is Matt's girlfriend, that also works at zenbar. Then we went to find some Australian paramedics that Fran and Lucy know who we're meant to be starting the fire.
It turned out that they'd started a bonfire but some creepy homeless guy had invited himself over and wouldn't leave so it all got cancelled so we just ended up chilling out for a bit and then heading back to the hostel.
I'm actually really loving it here even though there's not that much to do an it's mainly because it feels like a little family here and I really get on with everyone; I've decided to extend my time here by a few days because I love it that much.
