Today I decided to go off on my own and explore south bank which is an area in the west of Brisbane along side a river where they have a man made beach and pool.
I walked into town with my map; tourist!!! And bought some $8 jeans (bargain) then walked the rest of the way to south bank.
It's really pretty and is quite similar to south bank in London. I took some pictures then found a cinema where tickets were only $6 so booked a ticket for 'Ted'. While I waited, I went to this chocolate cafe which was really busy so I assumed it would be good, and I ordered a dark chocolate lemon hot chocolate; THE best hot chocolate I've ever had!!! And also had this shot glass of melted chocolate with popping candy, yum!!!
Then, I read a book on the 'beach' and went to see Ted which was really funny and was also the first time I've been to the cinema on my own which wasn't that bad.
I power walked back to the hostel as we'd all arranged to meet at 7 to spend our winnings from the quiz as they were doing tacos for $1. Edo couldn't make it so we just all ate tacos and drank a few drinks then watched the new American pie movie in the hostel and then crashed out in bed.

I really like Brisbane, it definitely feels like somewhere I could live if I was planning on working here.
