My last ever greyhound bus was definitely the most interesting... I had a French guy sat next to me, who basically snuggled up to me the wholeeee journey. Today was my last day in Byron bay... Booo! So myself and Edo just walked round the town, bought the odd thing, had dinner and a coffee and then just went back to hostel. We ended up meeting two guys from Adelaide who were in Byron for a music festival and spent the afternoon drinking and chatting with them and a Scouser. Then it was time for me to get my bus... As usual on an overnight bus, it was crammed and nearly every seat was taken so I wasn't in the bes...

Liesbeth left the hostel this morning as she was treating herself to a night in a B+B with a spa so I just spent the morning lounging around reading. Edo was coming down to Byron Bay today so we'd arranged to meet at the hostel at 3pm. When he got there we went for a walk around Byron bay and then ended up at a place called The Beach Hotel to have a couple of drinks. A guy was going round everyone selling raffle tickets so you could win a massive box of seafood...

The plan for today was to walk to the lighthouse which is right on the edge of Byron Bay and usually takes a few hours. First, myself and Liesbeth went to a restaurant called St. Elmo for dinner. It was a really nice place and I had a clam and mussel dish which was delicious. We also shared this flatbread which came with Marie River salt and is a pinky colour... So today, I'd booked a day trip out to Nimbin. Byron bay is quite a laid back hippy kind of place but Nimbin is known for being even more laid back and is quite famous for the fact that cannabis is widely available there. So anyway I decided to go as its recommended in most travel guides and it just sounded really cool. I got picked up at 10am by a big bus that was all spray painted and had reggae music blaring out.
