Decided to investigate the Ecovia off to the left of the apartment today. This extends quite a way and the signpost said 6.8 k so I only went a little way as LIz was back at Rua Agostinho etc. Maybe if Annie had been here we would have walked it all. Played with the camera a bit but I deleted a lot of them as there wasn't much worth taking up valuable space.
We decided to make a run for the coast to see what we could sea. It seemed when we left the weather was starting to cloud over and we thought we had had the best of the day.
Ro, you'll be proud of me. My map reading is improving day by day. We trundled along the back roads to Darque and then cut south along the 'coast' road til we turned off to Amerosa just south of Viane do Castelo. We spent a lovely couple of hours on the beach and what a beach. Liz braved the sea but by eck it was cold and I wimped out, only going in up to my waist.
We left about 5.30 with me resembling a boiled lobster and returned through Viane Do Castelo, at rush hour, I hasten to add, to Ponte de Lima via the motorway.
Tortilla de patatas y enslata mixta washed down by ample supply of Vinho Verde. Who needs restaurants?
