Why did I choose to go on sabbatical?

Many have asked this question so here's the answer; having degrees in both sociology and education. My love of both observing and interacting with others along with learning about myself, the way others learn, the learning process and any area in which I haven't learned much about has led me to choose a year away.

I've chosen the different places and projects to learn about different cultures, our envionment, other ways of teaching, and other people. I hope at some level to make an impact on all things important to me: people: most specifically children and our earth.

I could write a small novella on why I've chosen to take a sabbatical from teaching but I'll leave it simple.
