After yet another memorable St. Paddy's Day and a fantastic week in Fanwood with the NJ Bagliens I was off to Europe!
First stop, Ireland! Meggie, Emma & I started out in Dublin sampling some good eats, a lil shopping, city tour, and also did our fair share of pub exploration. Dublin was a great town, very easy to get around, an overall great time but the weather; the weather leaves much to be desired. The highlights of my time in Dublin were the St.patrick's Cathedral, The Guiness Factory, Spar, the jail and my special seat at Farrington's!
We left Dublin and embarked on a few day Paddywagon tour, a tour filled with a very interesting collection of people from the US, Germany, and Australia (and our spaz driver Seany).. We stayed in Galway and Kilarney also making stops at staples such as Cliffs of Moher and Blarney Castle (where Meggie threw my camera on the ground oops I mean accidentally dropped it from about 1ooo ft up! Love ya meg). My favorite place of all was Galway, and defiantely our best night out once Emma and I made it through dinner without perishing :)! Highlights of th tour: the entertainment from Paddys hostel workers, the most surreal late night bar ever, Polish love denied by my body guard Meggie.
So a very excitable time in Ireland was followed up by a rather mellow, monsoon like time in London! Highlights of London: our bike tour in temps no one should be on a bike tour, amped up footie fans and my love of riding the tube (and spar too)!
Highlights/memories of the trip in general: being on a trip with my sister and cousin with whom I have mad love!, worlds tiniest straightner, Cherryhill, PA=no good, obscene amounts of outright sugar, Porterhouse Brew Co., frick and frack eavesdropping and singing gradeschool songs upon entry, the smell of curry, "my italian jeans, like do they dance in ireland cuz I can go low....and the boots, do they look um you know?"
After the girls went back to the US, I went on to France. I spent an incredible week in Paris, probably my favorite part of the Eurotrip. From going through the tunnel in which Princess Diana died, to the battlegrounds of Normandy, shopping on the streets the Nazis used to march down, the famous art and architechture etc. was better than anything any teacher or book could teach! I really loved the food, most of the people :0 (theres a good bit of snobbiness going around), my boys the concierge at the hotel, and catching up with my friend Stephanie!
Paris was followed up with a quick few days in Zurich. I didn't get to experience too much but it was a beautiful city and again it was wonderful to catch up with my friend Sabrina!
