Day 4 - Tintern to Shrewsbury

Supposedly a nice day of flat cycling on quiet roads. Unfortunately the pain in my right knee I developed yesterday had definitely not disappeared overnight and went from a mild niggling pain when we set off into a progressively more severe pain every pedal. It's a good thing there were a lot of descents. No more aggressive cycling today just free wheeling at every opportunity...

The paracetamol and ibuprofen I'd taken when I woke up appeared to have had no effect so rapidly moved on to cocodamol. Still no improvement till lunch when finally it seemed to improve. Still painful but not causing so much wincing on every movement!!

For a change the afternoon seemed to fly by and before we knew it the road signs were saying less than 10miles to Shrewsbury. Would have been half an hour earlier were it not for a scenic tour of the one way system trying to find the hotel!!

Hoping with some preemptive dosing to have a better day tomorrow...
