Day 2 - Liskeard to Tiverton
Today's stage had a reputation of being a killer and didn't disappoint with almost continuous climbing from Liskeard up across dartmoor. Not all that steep but very few sections where it levelled off and a nice headwind coming up to the top.
Luckily by lunch time though the worst of the hills were over (with the exception of one really lovely 16% one...) and there were then some spectacular descents across dartmoor with amazing views and great fun to cycle!! Nearly made the climb worthwhile.
Made it in to the 'lovely' best western hotel at 4ish having been looking forward to a nice bath for the last few miles only to find that our 'executive' suite was disabled friendly with large walk in/wheel in shower complete with fold out seat! Was not impressed! Now just have the carvery to look forward to soon although my expectations for it are certainly not high!!
Currently no major injuries just general aches all over...nothing a bit of ibuprofen won't fix! And a small degree of saddle soreness...

Brian Lovelock Very interesting to read, thinking of you all day long. Carry on the good work!!!! Brian & Molly & All in Hampshire
Nick & Claire I hope the carvery was better than the lack of a bath! Still you had a seat in the shower. Enjoy the next stage and we look forward to reading the next instalment. All our love, N & C
Lucy Well done for surviving Dartmoor. Hope day 3 is proving less hilly. Fingers crossed for a bath tonight! xxx
Claire Harris Good luck and hope the coming days are not too tough and that there is a nice bath in the next accomodation! xx
