Why so much yellow? Some kind of uniform? Or did all these people just happen to wake up and simultaneously decide it seemed like a great day to wear yellow?

Actually, it turns out many Thais wear yellow every Monday, in honour of the king. The Thai hold the royal family in extremely high esteem, and the monarchy is especially celebrated this year as it's the 60th year of their reign.

This is a photo I took at the bus stop, probably looking a bit of a minority in my black t-shirt. Haven't quite managed to pull-off the local look yet, what with my out-of-place clothes, endless photo-taking, and probably still looking lost.

Awesome sight of the day: a huge red sun as it was setting. Probably due to the pollution here or something, but it was incredible all the same. Never seen anything like it.

New food of the day: green mango.  Considering it's unripe fruit, it's surprisingly tasty.
