This morning we woke up at a reasonable hour, ate breakfast and made our way to the new city of Valencia. The architecture was so unreal, it was like something out of a movie. It's so modern and weirdly designed , some of the buildings looked like helmets and blimps. We chose to go to the aquarium called the oceaniografic because we found out it's the biggest aquarium in Europe. It was really pretty at this place, but a lot of the enclosures were outside and on a 33 degree day, it makes walking a struggle. We got to see different types of fish, crabs, stingrays, sharks, seahorses, sea lions, beluga whales and dolphins. We saw a dolphin show which was awesome! Although the whole thing was in Spanish, it was amazing to see the dolphins obediently do flips and dives out of the water, shake their heads and even lift up the instructors out of the water into the air. Once we had finished looking around the aquarium we walked past the other cool futuristic buildings. There is this massive dome building portrayed to look like a human eye called the hemispheric. It's actually an IMAX dome, but all the movies were in Spanish so we didn't go inside. This area is called the city of arts and sciences , and I'm pretty sure it's the main attraction Valencia has going for it. After catching the bus the wrong away and doing a whole loop, we made it back home and made some dinner. I ate a pre made microwaveable Thai rice that was 1 euro. It was pretty good for the price. We also had to change rooms today to an eight bedroom female. We've met a cool Australian girl from Melbourne aswell. We're going out tomorrow night with her for our last night, and she's also on bus about so she's catching it with us to Madrid. Just eating popcorn now in the terrace room upstairs about to go to bed. It's so hot. Xoxo Alice
