hello from Taupo!

Don't worry this isnt me in the yellow jump suit! we arrived in taupo yesterday evening and are staying at a wicked hostel. I've so far met 3 different bus loads of people whilst travelling on kiwi experience and they all seemed to be in the hostel bar when we got there.

Did a big supermarket shop to stock up on some healthy food-I still managed to spend a fortune though, and then I went down for a BBQ and drinks in the bar. everone I got chatted to seems to live really close to me at home, one from Claygate, one from Cobham and another guy from Esher, very weird but its nice to have a common ground.

Vicki wasnt very well so stayed in bed while I went out clubbing with about 100 other travellers from the hostel. Everyone was talking about their skydive and it got me really excited/nervous, i just hope that ours will go ahead on monday morning because the weather is so chanageable and it turns from good to bad on a daily basis.

Had a late night but finally got a lie in today (until 1pm yey) so we've wasted the day a bit although I've got a horrible sore throat and definately need the rest.

Not much going on today, went to a gypsy fair but its easter Sunday and not a lot is open. Will probably go for a wander around the lake (not the entire 160km) and then scoff my one and only easter egg.

With any luck my next post will be post skydive- fingers crossed for the weather!!!!
