Hi there, Last night we tried out the Pod lifestyle and i have to say it was pretty good!! spacious, comfy and you have your own tv. from what i can tell the tv programs are very odd and the adverts are even more odd! but all very funny but i found myself sitting there in a confused entertained mess for a couple hours at least.
The day before kind of ended up falling apart by some wonderful sleep as james and i booked another night at the smile then suffering with a hangover he stayed and watched south park while i adventured out to get some food and revisit the temple. i returned after feeling very full and tired then slept from 3:30 till 4 the next morning. We both got up and trekked out and suprisingly the noodle bars are still open aswell as some stores. we then bumped into our american and swedish friends who introduced us to aload of other people from austrailia, america again, and norwich in england. all feeling very drunk after a night of karoke with free beer and ice cream. After eating james and i returned for some food we returned for some more sleep.
we woke to discover all hostels where taken up in tokyo so we tried a pod that was recommended by the very helpful lady who worked at the smile.
we found our way there which was just around the corner, it cost 3500 yen each and we left our bags and traveled into the centre of tokyo. there we visted the palace and its grounds. all very amazing stuff it was unfortunate that alot of it was torn down in wars. we returned back to check out the futuristic pods. ill upload the photos later. we then trekked off out to get food. we found a japanese curry house that seemed you could order anything with curry sauce and rice. it was the 1st meal that we had where it wasn't chopsticks and once again the portions where HUGE! after the meal we felt stuffed and headed off to the arcades then off to those wonderful PODs. Id say it was the greatest night sleep i've had so far here. then a quick wake up with some green tea then off to the annex hostel which is where we have met some of our friends again. Today should be a great one its as we're off to the futuristic s
