We had to catch the flight at 1.55pm yesterday the 29th so we had plenty of time to get to the airport.
After watching a movie and packing our things, we checked out and walked to the train station. All the way down one end is the terminal for the trains to Fiumicino, the airport, so we went there and arrived there at 9.53. The train left at 9.52 ahahhahaha
Thats okay though cause they went every half hour.
I went to buy tickets, which I had to go to the other side of the country to get, the ticket booth is about 10km away. Some random was at the self service machine, he did everything for me, and then wanted some money for coffee, he didnt even work there..
So we got the 10.30 train, got to airport at 11, checked in our stuff, and went through security. We actually had to take a train to the terminal we were at.
We had ¼ of a pizza each for lunch, our last Italian dish.
We walked around, looked in the stores and before long, it was time to board.
The flight was 11hrs, and we had no tvs again. Boohoo.
We read, and played games on the iPhone, actually slept a bit too. The food was great, I had curry, and Trudy had chicken breast. Yum..
After being a bit tired, we arrived in Bangkok, where we had about 1hr and a half before the next flight.
We thought we'd have a hot chocolate before, so we ordered a large, and got the biggest hot chocolate they could make.
We thought yeah, we'll have plenty of time, but it turns out, that the arrivals hall is about ½ a km away from departures, so it took us ages to walk there.
We made it just in time for the boarding, (we had plenty of time) and had the window seats, and TVS!!!
Just watched a couple of movies, two and a half men, and played some games. The food was good again.
That flight was only 9 hours, but by the time we landed, not knowing what time was what, we went through customs, before finally getting a taxi to the Formule 1. The taxi cost $15, which is pretty ridiculous.
Shower then we we actually made it to sleep.
This morning however, after being woken up by Trudy at 4.30am, I was incredibly hungry.
We started a movie, but were too hungry, so we went to the maccas just around the corner at around quarter to 6.
We pretty much stuffed our faces, and then came back to the hotels, and played Scramble for too long, then checked out.
So now we are at the domestic airport, the past 2 days have kinda meshed together, don't really know if my body knows what time it is, but we had a fantastic trip, really good memories, and lots of fun.
Both of us agreed weirdly enough, that we thought England was the nicest country, but we had really good time in Nice, and Paris, and Florence and Rome, pretty much everywhere.
So the trip was well worth it.
Last blog...so bye eveyone!! thanks for reading!!
