Happy birthday for yesterday Maz! You have a card in the post (in the uk) if the nice greyhound man did actually post them and not use them as a source of fire when the wether got cold on his way home from Vancouver last week. Greyhound stole the gin I got on the border. Thankfully, I only bought it because it was exceptional value. And me and the guys in the hostel made the most of half of it with CSI last night.
The most recent stage of my America [which is so much more awesome in the pacific north west] has taken place in stages. The road trip. Canada. Graduation and now...
Bellingham!!!
I am currently outside a bar during open mike night, since the others have ditched me. Not a problem since my blogs are behind and I am not an appreciator of poetry. I have found this town charming and earlier Paige who I am staying with played a brilliant son she wrote about it earlier. I hope she records it one day so that I can listen to it at home.
The weather here is gorgeous and I am happier than usual, and the bay reminds me of Lancaster/Silverdale/etc. not Morecambe because this place is pleasant...
It is arty here, though that is mainly Paige's influence, and musical. I thrift shopped yesterday for essential flip flops and sunglasses but also invested in a new orange novel and a typical pacific north west check shirt which I look forward I wearing at Lyn's grad party.
Unfortunately, the awesome weather and beautiful parks have invigorated my allergies and I spent yesterday crying. But in a humorous way, I irritated Lyn by not sneezing properly, though that would have ended up more unpleasant in my opinion...
The Woods is a coffee chain around here where Paige works and is a great setting. She has looked after me so well, we have fed well together and she brings back awesome leftovers from work to snack on. I think the pizza twist was the highlight so far. Paige shakes her head at me as I tell her I am writing about her.
In summary Lyn has put me in the best situations in America and I don't feel like I can type it justice in a blog but this road trip is going to be truly MARVELLOUS!
