Bam and we start Kiwi Exp. I was on it today chatting to everyone freestyle. The brilliant Brent ('Stand by') the coach driver started support a game of musical chairs/speed dating as we headed across the peninsula. Introductions were done as I tried to remember nationalities and recognise accents. Plenty of Swedish, Danish and British on the bus. And a few Irish to top it off.
Names List:
Charlie, Sabina, Helena, Elina, Pierre, Joe, Josh, David, Vicky, Angela, Frank, Axel, But to name a few... It's a big bus.
We got off the bus about 2pm. I whacked on some sun cream and we headed down to cathedral cove, pretty nice with a pleasant walk which I did in bear feet to attempt to cure my zebra striped skin. The sea was relatively cold but I chatted with some new guys, they were worried about contact lenses. So no splashing. I'm used to that aren't I Dad?
When we actually went to the hot water beach we saw 2 thin packs of people who had already found the hot water coming out of the beach sand. People dig these holes and hang five in the pools that occur. We struggled to get the hot and cold water to mix consistently so ended up in someone else's pool and a greasy lady complained that het water wasn't as hot any more! Boooo!
Status
• At ease with the bus...
• As yet not blown aback but then I am still adjusting to the situation...
• Everything is very organised and I don't wanna end up being 'told what to do' but there are opportunities that I might miss and great people to do it with...
