Last night in New York we ventured out into the local neighbourhood for a pizza. Ordered a whole one then realised it was 24" wide so settled for a couple of slices!! Ate dinner with an Ozzy a bit of a jerk who loved himself and also wore extremely tight clothes! Headed back to the Hostel and settled down in the lounge to watch a film. Then a true American came in (very loud) and asked if we minded watching X-Men. Got half way through when someones mobile went off and he yelled 'wot the hell??!!' quite amusing. Got chatting to 2 Ozzys Luke and Callum until 1 in the morning...lovely guys. Arrived at the Bus station in the morning ready to head to Boston when a smelly randomer started talking to us telling us his life story and how he was off to Waterville, Maine to live with his girlfriend...we do attract em! Handed the bags in where Alex's assests got her a wink and a 'How ya doin?' LOL Arrived in Boston to a great Hostel in a good neighbourhood. That night watched Cruel Intentions with a large yank who kept asking us if we were bothered about losing the Revolutionary War??! Not really mate since it was like 200 years ago! Got chatting to a guy who was sleeping below Kate, James from Derby. He actually recognised us from Ellis Island in New York! How strange but then again how could you forget us! Just before bed Alex had a slight visual impairment when trying to find the bin... poor Al she is blind without her specs! But then she couldnt find her flip flop, Spanish women sleeping below her was only walking out the door wearing them!!! Oi they're mine!!! Very funny!
Next morning woke up and had a real treat, private bathroom. Headed off to the bus station to buy our tickets to Toronto, 14hr overnight journey but hey saves a nights accomodation! Then went to Massachusetts State House. Prior to this Kate went to ring Joe except forgot to bring his number, tried to guess it and spoke to some OAP in Worthing! Bless! Had a tour around the house with Jim our guide but they really do go on about the Revolutionary War and he just didn't seem to get we are just not fusssed. Walked to the public Library where we signed up so we could get free internet... 2 hours spent uploading the pictures which none of you can see!! All was going well just chilling out that night booked the Hostel in Toronto then Alex plugged in the I-Pod charger to the mains of the Internet Cafe... Total powerloss!!!!!!! Alex just said sorry and carried on laughing quite comical!
Visited Harvard Uni today got a tour round from 2 students Corey and Jordan. Quite interesting but then asked at the end for a $20 tip, dont think so mate not made of money!! Got a pizza for tea and started chatting to 2 British lads from London had a very interesting chat about tea bags!! One of them was very hot! Then they asked us what we had got up to the night before, street cred right down the pan when we told them we had spent it in the library!!
Next day walked the Freedom Trail which is a History line around Boston takuing in all the historical sites like the old State House where the Tea Party was held and Beacon Hill where the 1st battle of the Revolutionary War took place. Very interesting but hell of a long way! That night settled down and watched 'Somethings Gotta Give' on a huge plasma TV. Perfectly happy sat there until a lady of about 70 came in and stretched out on the Chez Long!! Then the larfe Yank from the other night came in and kept snorting back his phlem, charming!
Next day we left Boston Kate got up at 6 to ring Joe (thats love for ya!) arrived at the Bus station to start our 14hr bus journey to Toronto. Everything was fine until a crazy man got on at Syracuse. He started yelling at the bus driver to turn the lights on a little scary! He refused as it was 2am turned the bus around and went back to the station where the police escorted him off!!! Would only happen to us and only just made our connecting bus to Canada. Finally arrived in Toronto 7am, very very tired!!
