Buenos Airesissa ollaan!
Arrived almost two hours late to Buenos Aires... Some farmers were protesting about something and blocked parts of the way, so that slowed us down.
We are staying at San Telmo area, the "tango" area, which is really a nice neighbourhood with pretty houses! As soon as we dumped our bags to the hotel, it was time to go and see Argentinian football: River Plate vs. San Martin! It was a really fanatic game! I was actually quite scared on the way there, when the crazy fans cheered, sang and did fireworks in the crowds. We had to go through three security checks on the way in... And the game was fenomenal and so exciting! I mean even I, who do not really care for football that much, was cheering, singing, clapping and hugging the swetty, crazy fans beside me!
Spent a couple of days in the small, charming Colonia in Uruguay... There are lots of ferries crossing every day, so it was easy to get across. The place reminded me of Suomenlinna/Sveaborg...
One day we rented bikes here. That was a biiiiig mistake! The traffic here is crazy and I thought that we would get killed for sure! But somehow we managed and at the end it was a fun way to see the city, even though it was a bit life threatening!
Tomorrow we fly to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, they say. The temperature there is not what we are used to: 12 C at daytime, 0 C at night! How will we cope with the cold?! Yikes!
