Oi! Ilha Grande was sooo nice! There are a lot of nice beaches and lots of hiking trails, so it was not hard to kill time there. One day we hiked to the other side of the island (2 1/2 hours) to `one of the most beutiful beaches in the whole of Brazil´ Lopes Mendes. Luckily you could catch a boat back home, because the hike back would have killed us! Paraty, was our next stop! The old town in Paraty was really cute and as were the colorful boats in the harbo...

The promised land of caipirinhas and havaianas! We are in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! The days here just flew by so fast... Tomorrow we are already moving on south - to Ilha Grande! Caipirinhas only cost 1,5 euros here, so I am used to my daily dose of caipirinha! We are staying just two blocks from Ipanema beach in a really cute place with a courtyard.
