Buenos dias!
Since I last wrote we have been through a lot! We spent two nights in Ushuaia, two nights in El Calafate and two nights in a BUS!
Ushuaia was a really cute town, nestled between amazing mountains and the Beagle Channel. The nature surrounding the city was amazing. Spent one day hiking in the gorgeus national park of Tierra del Fuego!
El Calafate was a good jump off point to see the amazing Perito Moreno glacier. It was quite spectacular! 60 metres high (from water level) and moving about 2 metres per day! It was huuuge and the colour of the ice - crystal white and turquoise! Wooow! The cutest and friendliest stray dogs in the world must live in El Calafate! They were following us everywhere and I wanted to feed and cuddle with them, but Tomppa didn´t let me because I could get rabies! Riiight...
From Calafate we took the famous ruta 40 up to Bariloche! This bus ride took 36 hours! The road a very bumpy gravel road, with just miles and miles of steppe and dry gravel! So not very much to see on the way... We did see some wild life - wild horses for example! Never seen them in the wild before...
Now finally we are in Bariloche, a nice town with pretty mountaineous views and friendly people! We´ll spend a couple of days here and then move on to Chile and spend about a week and a half there. Peru and Ecuador are the next countries on the list after that...
Only 6 weeks left of our journey of a lifetime! Yikes! We could easily continue travelling, but we have run out of money and it is a good time to come home to the start of the Finnish summer... Don´t know how we will be able to go back to normal life and routines after this trip though...
