After A last-minuite change of plan, I am now in Hervey Bay A day early I am now all set to spend 3 days on the worlds biggest sand island, Fraiser Island! Today my goal is to sort out flights to Alice springs!! I also have A safety briefing for Fraiser at 6pm! yess!
Australia Zoo Up early this morning to catch the shuttle bus to Australia Zoo! (after a full English with the guys at the hostel!). On the bus they were playing episodes of "The Crocodile Hunter" on the screens. The Zoo is AWSOME! We saw AGRRO & ACCO, Steve Irwin's greatest nemesis' Ha! We went to the 5,000 seater "Crocosseum" to watch a wicked show with birds flying around the stadium 3 inches above our heads & Crocs trying to kill the zoo keepers! Had some cool photos taken wrestling crocodiles & in the Crocodile Hunter's van! Had A really good day! That night In the hostel bar all of us were playing pool all night! CRIKEY!
The next day was a lazy day at the beach! HA! We saw off a load of mates on the oz bus, who were off to explore fraiser island! Then spent the rest of the day sunbathing & swimming, yea! That night all the guys in our dorm had a bit of a beach party which was really cool!
Day 25 - Oz Bus to Rainbow Beach Up early this morning to catch the oz bus! It only took about 2hrs to get to Rainbow Beach & I knew a couple of people on the bus too, so it wasn't too bad! When we got to Rainbow, I went on Maddie Murphy's Bush Walk!! IT WAS WICKED! This guy played with his band at bluesfest & he took us up onto the sand duunes & lookout showing us the bush tukka & what you can eat! On the sand dunnes you could see for MILES! He taught us the geogrophy & history of the East Coast & demonstrated with a rainbow of sand, why they call it Rainbow Beach! We watched the sunset from the dunnes! That night His Band played at the hostel so I checked that out before hitting the sack!
Day 26 This Morning I found that there really wasn't much to do on Rainbow! I grabbed a computer & uploaded some albums to my ipod that i bought at Bluesfest! I walked down the main drag of shops & bars to find some food & met up with a load of mates who I had been travelling with before Brisbane! They were moving up the coas to Hervey Bay on the bus leaving that day at 3.00pm! So with about an hours notice I changed busses & sorted accomodation to go with them & here I am In Hervey Bay! Last night we had a few drinks & played our guitars, jamming with each other! Hell Yea! (one of the guys is a guitarist)
Hervey Bay seems pretty cool & I am looking foreward to Fraiser Now! I'm off to the Flight Center to sort flights to Alice Springs!
Love & Miss you All!!
