Adam and Charlotte's Great Escape.
Hello, We are now in Ko Phangan after leaving Ko Samui yesterday (Sunday). Only spent 4 nights in Ko Samui as the area we were staying in which was Chewang beach was far too like Spain for our liking - jet ski's, english pubs, annoying sovenier sellers, and far too many people. The beach was nice though but it still didn't look like the postcard image, this area was also very expensive compared to Bangkok and Chiang Mai. We spent our time here lying on the beach, trying to tan out white bodies, and a few of the evenings we sat at our resorts beach front bar which was very relaxing. However, we couldn't stand the smelly resort we were staying in any longer and moved to Ko Phangan. We decided to pick a beach that was quieterso we opted out of staying where the full moon party takes place and headed for a place called Thong Nai Pan Yai. This is a cove on the Northeasten edge of the island and like is more how we imagined Thailand to be. Accommodation is cheap, the bungalows are on the beach and you are surrounded by palm trees. It has a nice balance here, there are bars and resturants but the beach isn't lined with deckchairs and jet ski's are not shooting passed. We will proberly stay hear a few days. You will all have to wait for the pictures as the internet is expensive here. Bye for now love Adam and Charlotte xxx
