Adam and Charlotte's Great Escape.
Hi everyone,
Just thought we would up date you on what we have been up to. Well, on Wednesday we went on a trip to the Ang Thong Marine National Park which was very beautiful but the trip itself could do with a bit of improvement. After boarding our boat our first stop was just outside the Marine Park where we went snokelling, we wasnt quite sure why we were snokelling 'just' out side the National Park but never mind, we saw many fishes and some different types of coral. This wasn't bad snokelling but I wasn't that impressed with what I saw and also it spoilt it a bit that 5 or 6 boats where also here with there groups snokelling. After this it was off to do what they called a bit of sightseeing around the National Park, which was actually just the boat slowing down a bit as you take photos of the various little coves and rock formations. We then ended up at the cove where, if you were wearing a blue ribbon you could go kayaking, we were not wearing a blue ribbon so we could either sunbathe on the beach or pay an extra 400 THB to go. We payed because we didnt want to miss the chance of getting up close to some of the park's features, however, the kayaking was nothing more than circling one rock island and then because were too quick doing this, we jumped out of the kayak just around the corner of where we were having lunch and had a swim.....we thought this was a bit of a con!! In the afternoon we climbed up a riggity staircase to a lookout point to look over the National park and also viewed the Emerald Lake. Overall, the trip wasn't a bad day out but it cost a lot of money for what you got and there are so many people doing the same old trip it would be nice to go on a trip that takes you a bit more off the beaten track.
We left Ko Phangan on Thurday and are now in Krabi which we are leaving tomorrow to go to Ko Phi Phi before heading for Malaysia.
Write again soon
Love Ad and Charl xx
