Adam and Charlotte's Great Escape.
Sa-wat-dii kha (This is how the Thai people say hello), Well we are now back in Bangkok after leaving Chiang Mai on Thursday evening. As the bus is not until 6pm we spent our last day in Chiang Mai visiting three out of 320 of Chiang Mai's temples. The temples we visited where called Wat Phra Singh, Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Chiang Man and like all the others we have visited they were very decorative mainly by gems and jewels and painted in vibrant colours, largely gold. Before our last swim at the hotel I (Charlotte) managed to fit in my first Thai massage, Adam didn't have one, instead he sat in the comfy chair and drunk green tea. The journey back to Bangkok was another mini adventure, we were prepared for the horrible toilets and took out own toilet roll, but we didn't know we would have to change bus there to...what a palarver!!! We haven't done to much since we havr been back in Bangkok, although we went back to the Chatuchak market to hunt for more bargins. It has also been the King's 60 year reigh celebrations so it has been a sea of yellow t-shirts here and every night so far there has been fireworks in the evening. Today there is a boat posession which hasn't been done for years, so we are going down there to see if we can catch a glimpse but there are millions and millions of people watching it. Tomorrow evening we are going to Ko Samui by sleeper train. We will let you know if Ko Samui is a beautifull as people say. Lots of Love Charlotte and Adam xxxx
