Not much to here apart from drink beer, smoke and sleep-so that´s what we have been doing for the past two days.
We finally got to Santa Elena yesterday morning after a hellish bus trip of around 10 hours. The hellish part was being stopped twice by soldiers, once to check our passports-which they though mine had the wrong stamp in-I though they were going to shoot me! Luckily for me, they just took $1000 off our tour guide-this is what a corrupt country Venezuela is. The second time they off laoded everyone off the bus just to look through our bags- waste of time, but gave the soldiers a chance to look at white girls underwear I suppose. Today we have been walking through the Grande Sabana. This area is known for forests, hills, waterfalls and diamonds-unfortunately we have not seen any of the alter. Walked a lot today and jumped off rocks, crawled under waterfalls, etc.
Off to Brazil tomorrow where we start our jungle trip-two days camping in the amazon jungle-then a boat trip for four days.
Hoping to get a new camera soon-pics on the way.
Love you all x
