Around the World
The start of our roadtrip...driving from one side of the island to the other. We drove from Christchurch to Greymouth via Arthurs Pass; a mountainous region that is veyr rainy, misty but beautiful.
We ended our day in greymouth, a town by the sea that I only wanted to go to beacuse it had my favourite brewery in it-Montieths! We had to wait until 11am for the tour, so were chopming at the bit to get in and havea look around the site. Apparently the brewery is the only one in the Southern Hemisphere that still uses open vat fermentation-not sure what difference it makes to the beer-but it tastes good. We finished the tour with a tasting in the bar, a good day, and it set us up for the drive to the glaciers.
