Around the World
After Greymouth we headed on down to the glaciers of the South Island; Franz Josef and Fox. You can hike on them both (if you have the money and time) but we only had time to walk up and have a look. They were pretty impressive, although we couldn't get as close as I would have liked (Argentina was much better) and the size of them was pretty amazing; to think that they have been around for thousands of years, and will be here long after I have gone too.
We managed to get a quick look at Lake Matheson (between Franz and Fox) as well, reputed to be the most photographed lake in new Zealand, to be honest I couldn't see what all the fuss was about-but it's another cross off my list!
