Well only 4 more sleeps before flying off to Portugal together, I hope everyone is looking forward to the trip and that you have your suncream and sunglasses packed :) Just a couple of things I thought of last night, the UK is on the same time zone as Portugal, so no need to alter our watches :) and also I have been told by the staff at the farm that the water that comes out of the taps in Portugal is safe to drink, just like ours is at home :) I hope you like today's picture, the amazing 'Bird of Paradise', also known as "Strelitzia" these grow all over the place in Portugal, but we pay highly to buy these in the UK, well worth the money because once the initial flower dies off with some careful handling more flowers will appear from the same stem, ask any good florist and they will show you how to make this happen :) Finalising a few more details today so everything will be ready for our early start on Monday, enjoy your weekend :)

Sarah Lawrenson Don't forget to call into the library and pick up your Portuguese dictionaries-we have lots in stock to help you guys out! Have a great trip and we look forward to hearing all about it! From all the team at Myerscough College Library
Scott Hollamby I am really looking forward to our trip to Portugal. Do the hotel provide towels or do we need to bring them?
Rebecca Harrison I bought a portuguese dictionary at a town market 1 month ago, and i printed out some words too. I like the picture :) Nice to know I don't need to change my clock, and that the water at the farm is safe, my grandma keeps telling me to keep buying bottled water :) also I saw Andrew with a Portugal 2013 shirt, will i receive one on Monday?
Helen Hi Rebecca, Yes there is a shirt ready for you :) we are all going to be wearing them so that when we get to the airport we can easily spot one another, but also so that we can be easily recognised by the driver who is meeting us in Portugal. The dictionary you bought sounds like a good idea :) Please reassure your grandma that the tap water is safe, but we can also get some bottled water as well :)
Rebecca Harrison Thank you helen, my grandma still doesn't seem convinced about the water, but if it is safe to drink then that is ok :)
