Never done a country so fast. Swizerland and people on a budget, not a good combination!

We checked into a beautiful campsite beside the lake with a picturesque view of the city, already feeling somewhat lighter after parting with £30 for the privilege but it was a lovely day and we were feeling positive.

Had a nice walk along the front then decided to go for a bite to eat, big mistake! Scoured the streets for most of the afternoon desperately trying to find an affordable baguette (quite certain that £6-£7 couldn't possibly be the standard price) eventually stumping up £7 each for a MacDonalds burger and chips (no drink). Money robbing b******s!

On a lighter note a boat trip around the lake well away from any shops was much more affordable and very pleasant.

In the words of Bill Bryson 'wandering around with an odd empty longing to be somewhere else. I don't know why exactly, because Geneva is an agreeable enough place' I think this sums it up!
